Incremental activity that assists and encourages the revitalization of commercial or retail properties, and that serve as a catalyst to staging existing properties for efficient and regenerated use of land, in turn providing for job creation and/or retention. Preference will be given in support of downtown/heritage districts. Eligible organizations include local small and medium-sized businesses interested in retrofitting an existing property. Projects may include loans to offset some of the costs associated with retrofitting vacant or under-utilized commercial or retail lands and properties to make them more appealing to businesses and customers.
